Rides

The Club has a variety of rides to suit all abilities. For 2024 the club ride programme will include the following:

Monday Night Development Rides: These are the ideal introduction to the club and club riding. These rides run every Monday evening from Spring to Autumn, during the longer daylight hours. Everyone is made welcome, and if you are new to group riding then we’ll explain everything you need to know before the ride starts. You can come on up to three rides to try us out before joining the club.

Weekend and Evening Gravel Rides: These rides focus on riding the lanes and trails away from the tarmac. These rides are suited to gravel or adventure bikes with fatter tyres.

Saturday Club Cafe Ride: This is a social ride with the distance extending as the season progresses. Distances are typically around 60 miles/100 km during the warmer months, with a stop en-route for food, drink and a chat. In the summer we aim to include some longer rides, including a number of “away days” where we travel further afield – on occasion including a trip on a ferry!

Time-Trials: Test yourself against the clock, and see how you improve over the season.

In addition to the official ride programme, members can post “ad hoc” rides on the club forum to suit their own needs, and see if other folk fancy joining them.

All details about our rides are posted in the club forum, which is open to all.

The club has also adopted the Highland Audax Series, details of which can be found here.
