Saturday Club Ride – 9th March

This Saturday’s club ride takes us to Camerons. The route is approximately 100 kilometers. with an elevation gain of around 1000 meters. NOTE: This includes the optional climb up to the General Wade’s Military Road. Please let your ride leader know whether you want to challenge yourself climbing up the hill, or if you would rather wait at Cameron’s for the rest of your group. Details of the route can be found via the link below. Please download this to your bike computer, if you have one.

Strava Route

For the safety of all riders, we operate a ‘no drop’ policy on our Saturday rides.

Please respond if you wish to attend and select your preferred pace group which is based on average speed for the entire route distance. The group speeds are a rough guide and may vary up or down on the day depending on conditions. Please do not just turn up for the ride.

Group 1: 26-29kph / 16-18mph
Group 2: 22-26kph / 14-16mph
Group 3: 21-24kph / 13-15mph

We will endeavour to accommodate your group selection, dependent on rider numbers and the availability of ride leaders. If you want to challenge yourself, you can select a faster group than usual with the option of dropping down after the cafe stop.

The forecast looks to be cloudy and chilly, but as always, please monitor the weather forecast and come prepared for all eventualities.

Front and rear lights are recommended for increased visibility.

Please meet at Fairways roundabout, just off the distributor road at 08:50 for a prompt 09:00 departure. The ride will be closed at 7pm on Friday 8th March.

Cheers

Remy

Edit: Not going to make it now, sorry! Enjoy the ride

Fingers crossed I’ll be there, group 2.

I’m keen to go tomorrow, but I’ll need to peel off early, because I need to go to Aberdeen tomorrow afternoon. So I’ll probably just turn at foyers and come back, if that’s ok?

Yes please. Its looking like 1 group.

Paul

Yes please. I’ve just woken my ‘number one bike’ from hibernation.

Group 2+ I guess.

Thanks Remy

Group 2 for me

Cheers

Alastair
