Quote from SteveB on 18 July 2025, 19:00RIDE CANCELLED. Unfortunately, due to the continuing forecast for heavy rain into the evening, along with a yellow weather warning for thunderstorms until 9pm, we’ve decided to err on the side of caution and cancel tonight’s ride. Let’s hope for better weather next week.
Monday’s ride starts from the Battlefield. Please note the slightly later start time of 18:50.
The suggested route follows a clockwise loop through Ardesier, with a distance of around 40km / 25 miles (alternative routes are a possibility, depending on the experience of people in the groups, the weather etc).
Please be at the meeting point by 18:45 at the latest for an 18:50 start.
The route can be viewed and downloaded for your bike computer here:https://www.strava.com/routes/3381349923218098488
At this stage the forecast for Monday shows a risk of thundery showers in the afternoon, so please keep an eye on the forecast, and remember to check the forum before heading out in case of last-minute changes due to the weather.
All those wishing to join the ride need to post below by 16:00 on Monday when the ride will be closed.
Please see the FAQ sticky post at the top of the Monday Rides section of the forum for all other information, including what to bring with you and where exactly the meeting points are. If you’ve not been out with us before, or for a while, please make sure that you take a look through the FAQs before coming along.
Hope to see you there!
